Methodology
Why Independence Matters
The “Zero Conflict of Interest” Promise
In the traditional yachting ecosystem, brokers, shipyards, and technical contractors frequently have overlapping commercial interests. MSYachtSolutions works exclusively for the Client.
No Brokerage Commissions
We do not take referral fees from shipyards or suppliers. In case they are proposed they will be converted into “Discount to Owner”.
Direct Fiduciary Transparency
All project financials, contractor negotiations, and inspection reports are completely transparent to the Owner.
The difference
Traditional model vs. Independent Owner's Representative
| Traditional model | MSYachtSolutions | |
|---|---|---|
| Who pays the consultant | Often tied to the yard, broker or supplier network | Exclusively the Owner — no third-party income |
| Commissions from yards / suppliers | Referral fees and markups retained by the intermediary | None taken — any proposed fee is converted into a discount to the Owner |
| Access to cost data | Filtered through the yard's commercial department | Full transparency on financials, negotiations and reports |
| Change order review | Accepted at face value to protect the relationship | Objective scrutiny of cost, timeline and technical impact (AHP) |
| Reporting to the Owner | Infrequent, technical, written for the shipyard | Crisp, visual executive reports designed for Owners and Family Offices |
